Meet our Veterinarians

Dr Annette Williams BVSc. BN

Dr Annette qualified in 2006 at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.

Prior to this Annette was a Registered Nurse working in a busy Brisbane Hospital Emergency Department and was a human nurse for 15yrs.

Since graduating as a Vet Dr Annette has worked in the Redlands and continually strives to offer the highest standards of care & compassion to her patients and clients.

It was always the dream for Dr Annette to become a Vet and a goal to own her own clinic. It was her deep passion and love for animals and wanting to offer clients individual treatment plans for all life stages of client’s fur babies that drove Dr Annette’s dream and goal into fruition.

Dr Annette loves all aspects of being a Veterinarian. She enjoys interacting and chatting with clients and their fur babies to ensure the best is being achieved for their furry family members.

Family and friends are important to Dr Annette and loves to spend time and have fun with her 2 adult sons, who have become her support, strength and friends. Of course life is not complete for her without her own fur babies, who love to take up all the room on the bed.

To de -stress Dr Annette loves to get her fix at the local HIIT Station gym, go jet-skiing and camping with her wonderful family and friends who have all given her so much support and love to see her goal come to light.

Jessie Peden, Veterinary Nurse

My name is Jessie and I have been a vet nurse for 7 and a half years. I have a 6 year old border collie named Dexter who is my very best friend. Fun fact about me I love spending my spare time with my friends, family and learning how to DJ!

Maddy Smetheram, Veterinary Nurse

Hi I’m Maddy!
I’m just starting out my career in Veterinary Nursing, I feel blessed to be apart of your fur-babies health care! I have an array of animals - my staffy Bentley (who is my best mate), a horse Loppy and two sheep to name a few.

My spare time is spent chasing after my toddler, competing with my horse and looking after our property. I have a keen interest in client education and helping manage itchy pets having one myself.

Britney Sorrensen, Veterinary Nurse In Training

Meet Britney, our Vet Nurse In-Training, and boy, is she doing fantastic! She is well on her way to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse and is loving the experience.

Brit has held a life-long dream to become a Vet Nurse and has been a part of the Baybreeze family since late 2021. She’s a calming influence for our patients and works wonders with their hydrobaths!

Before joining Baybreeze Family Vet Clinic, Britney enjoyed being a trusted dog walker and pet sitter for family and friends– but did you know that she is also a very talented pet photographer? Some of her work is truly amazing!!

Her favourite part of nursing so far is being part of a pet’s journey to recovery – and of course the snuggles!

With the variety that a general practice offers, Brit is sure to develop very strong skills in no time. It can’t be all work (or study) with no play. In her spare time, Brit heads to the beach with Koda, her Mini Foxie X, goes camping and 4WDing. When she gets home, it’s snuggle time on the couch with her doggo.
